Best Window Graphics

WINNER

Hertz Heathrow Cityscape, Greens the Signmakers

Tasked with improving the customer and staff experience at Hertz/Dollar’s customer service desks at Heathrow Airport by addressing the issue of persistent glare from large windows overlooking the car park. The solution needed to reduce glare while maintaining visibility for staff and enhancing the space’s visual identity.

Through an extensive design process, we tested various vinyl materials, including solar, tinting, and translucent vinyl. Ultimately, we found success with a combination of yellow and grey vinyl, digitally printed, which reduced glare without negatively impacting visibility or room temperature. The two-color design added depth and aligned with the Hertz/Dollar brand.

After testing the design in various lighting conditions, we proceeded with a precise installation on 12 large windows at Heathrow. The result was a solution that improved staff comfort and productivity, while creating a bold, distinct look that represented the site’s location. The client was thrilled with the outcome, which met both functional and aesthetic goals.
